Good scrap, went around how I expected it to stylistically. More exciting than I expected, though. Highlight reel stoppage too.
I like Joyce, he understands his limitations and implements gameplans effectively with that in mind. Obviously his strong chin helps matters too. I would normally say he shouldn't be near championship level but in the present he could have half a shout. Usyk is head and shoulders above him but his heavy hands could make it tough for a small man, although I think Usyk would box rings around him. Whereas you'd think he'd have a decent chance against Fury. If more sportsman (across all codes) used their heads more, they would be able to achieve above their athletic or technical ability.
Parker has a great chin and serious heart, many others would've been out of there a lot earlier. Not a great boxer but it shows where determination can get you. I've said it before, he negates his main asset (good speed for a big man) by telegraphing punches and cocking hands before punching. No idea how he's gotten to this level without that being coached out of him. I don't think we'll see much more of him after tonight, that's the kind of fight that takes your soul, he probably won't be the same in a boxing ring again.

Joyce gives anyone a decent fight. Stamina, power and a chin of iron.

Joyce-Parker tonight should be decent.
I said to a fella the other day "what do you think about Joyce Parker?" and he said "who's she?"

Golovkin has been getting old in the ring the last few fights and it showed again. He definitely lost this one, was closer than the DAZN commentators made it. Sound but Canelo won fair and square. The higher weight didn't help but he started a bit too late overall and we only saw some of Golovkin's trademark moments in the second half. He will still be able to beat a lot of good/decent fighters but he isn't the same as he once was unfortunately.
With fair scoring, I'd say Golovkin won the first comfortably, the second narrowly (a draw would also be an acceptable result) and lost this one. Fair play to both of them being humble post fight after having a lot to say before it.

Hmm I think Joshua just has to go for it. Fury will not be expecting him to accept. Yes AJ would prefer a warm up fight, but it's a luxury he can't afford. This might be his last chance at a massive fight like this. He has to take it. He's in great shape still, just give it his all and try to knock Fury out.
I still think Fury will school him by the way, but he's out of options.

I think Joshua will swerve it, Take a couple of easy fights, He will still sell out the stadium on them.
Whats Furys thinking? easy pay day before a couple of fights with Usyk?

FWIW Eddie Hearn will be throthing at the mouth, His cash cow gets one more pay day....
And then Usyk gets the winner for another payday
