MMA has a few - TRT Belfort for example is a different animal to non TRT.

Don't think it was, but have no way of knowing what exactly he took.

But he certainly did not look a different fighter afterwards though. Yes he got sparked by Matthysse, but then again Matthysse has done that to a lot of fighters and is a hell of a hitter if he catches a fighter cleanly.

In Peterson's other loss since the drug test, he took Garcia to a split decision and Garcia is a top class performer so no shame in that defeat.

With the exception of against Matthysse, Peterson has been taken shots fine in his fights since the drug test, and his output, aggression, stamina etc all look to be pretty good when compared to how he was pre the drug test.

That is why I think his version of events kind of rings true. Generally a long term user of testosterone replacement/synthetic testosterone would see a pretty significant drop off in performance after they went clean, and the example you gave is a great one, but with Peterson we did not see such a drop off and that puts, for me anyway, an element of doubt as to any claims of him using the treatment he was receiving for anything other than what his people said he was getting it for.

Should see a late stoppage win for Thurman.

Think Porter is a bit of a No Man's Land type fighter in terms of weight. He has to work hard to make the weight at welter but tends to be a bit light to be a true light middleweight.

Both can bang a bit, although Thurman is the better and harder hitter imho, so could be interesting come December when the bell goes.

Sounds like Khan won't be getting Manny and is talking about a fight with either Brook, Peterson or Garcia.

I'd be happy to see him get in the ring with any of them tbh

Whatever about Brook, but Peterson and Garcia should have been gone after within a fight or two after losing to each of them.

Peterson I would just about fancy Khan against, but I reckon Garcia could beat him again as Garcia has improved a lot in the last few years and has come through a few tough fights which can only have served him well.

Brook would be the easiest of the three imho, but that would of course depend on Brook beating Chaves on Saturday week. Then again Chaves does not travel well, so would not be expecting a hell of a performance from him in Sheffield.

Khan"It just seems Pacquiao doesn't want to fight me," he told BBC Sport, naming Danny Garcia, Lamont Peterson and Sheffield's Brook, 29, as alternatives.
He later tweeted: "Pacquiao fight could still happen if he signs the contract, but I'm also looking at other options."

"We've been trying for the last few months to get it done," he added. "I don't want to be in the same position as I was with Mayweather, when he promised me the fight and I was waiting and waiting and it never happened.
"He probably just doesn't feel confident and thinks it will be a tough fight for him."

But he also mooted a meeting with IBF welterweight champion Brook, who has called on his compatriot to get in the ring.
"A rematch with Danny Garcia could be an amazing fight for me - it is a fight where I want to prove myself," said Khan. "I know I am a better fighter than he is and I just made a mistake when I fought him the first time.

"When I fought Lamont Peterson I know I won the fight but didn't get the decision, but a fight with Kell Brook could happen as well - he is one of the top guys who we would be looking at."

Pacquiao Told: Forget About Mayweather Rematch

Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum has advised the Filipino superstar to consider a different opponent for a farewell bout, which will take place no later than April 9.

Arum believes a rematch with Mayweather is not possible due to the timescale of Pacquiao's return to action following surgery on a shoulder injury sustained in training prior to the richest fight in history.

"He would like to fight Mayweather, but since this is his last fight, and looking at where we are on time, I told him he needs to forget about it and move on," Arum said in the LA Times.

Arum's list of potential opponents for Pacquiao's swansong includes Amir Khan, Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley, Terence Crawford and Viktor Postol.

Khan recently claimed he had pulled out of negotiations with Pacquiao because his former gym-mate was stalling over signing a contract.

Arum, however, dismissed the Briton's claims and said the two camps are still in talks.

"Nobody can figure out why Khan is saying that," Arum added. "I've spoken to his attorney, Robert Davis, and we're going back and forward on the numbers.

"The kid talks too much. It's probably why he lost the Mayweather fight. If there's no contract to sign, who's stalling who?"

Hearn pulling some Frank Warren level ****e with Kell Brook.

Brook 'injured' and out of his fight with Chavez on the 24th of this month.

Nailed on rescheduled date of 12 Dec on the same PPV card as Joshua.

Fans being treated like ****e. Brooks career going nowhere fast.
