I just hope he doesn't lose his head and start trading once he gets tagged.
I was impressed with Degale but wish he would stop taking breaks during rounds. He really is an awkward customer when he's not farting around. I'd tip him to beat Badou Jack convincingly as well
Ortiz should stick to making movies or whatever it is he was doing outside of boxing

Degale's problem seems to be that he starts too fast. He throws some seriously good combos in the first few rounds and then seems to almost run out of gas the longer the fight goes on.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View Post

He (along with Fury) are my favourite British belt holders / world champions at the moment. Got to admire a boxer that wins consistently on the road. I also fancy him to beat Jack when they fighter later in the year.
Don't hold out much hope for Kahn to be honest (didn't for Fury against Wlad either) i think people are too harsh on Canelo and his footwork / movement.
Intriguing fight none the less but i imagine Canelo by T/KO in the later rounds.

Also, it's good to know I'm not on my own in liking Fury

Oddly enough I have found myself thinking along the same lines regarding Khan's bout.
He does have the tools to trouble Canelo if he sticks to the right game plan. The big risk is getting caught. Canelo may not have the sort of power to be a KO artist among natural middleweights and among the bigger light middles, but he has plenty to spare when it comes to stopping a natural welter or smaller light middle weight.
And Khan has long stopped being a regular stoppage guy, pretty much since he moved up to light welter his lack of regular KO or TKO wins began. Just looked at his record and he has three wins by KO or TKO since 2009 so stopping Canelo would be difficult (just watch Khan spark him early after me saying this lol)
As a long time critic of Khan what I am finding strange is that I kind of hope he can win and not only win, but win well. Think it might be the fact I like the fact he finally picked a fight against a very live opponent and would be very curious to see what happens next should he win.
With you on DeGale as well. Lot of talent there but frustrating at times. Think Badou Jack will prove a tough cookie though. He is very good on the inside and likes to work the body to good effect when he is motivated. Think DeGale needs to start quick and exploit the fact that Jack is often a slow starter. DeGale to win for me but think it may take a fair bit of work to get the W.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Good points there mate. I didn't realise that Khan has only 3 ko's since 2009! I don't see him stopping Canelo anyway. Would be brilliant if he did though. Very much looking forward to this weekends fightOriginally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostOddly enough I have found myself thinking along the same lines regarding Khan's bout.

Yeah don't see him stopping Canelo, but would find it funny as **** if he did. Khan's stopping power, as in being a proper banger, seemed to have left him as soon as he moved into the light welters let alone at welter and now at 155lbs.
I think stopping power is the big difference between them. Canelo is nothing special against a natural middleweight or big light middle weight and I think he is a big hotter at welter and not above that.
But as said in my earlier post he does not need natural middleweight power against Khan as Khan is not a natural middleweight so Canelo's welter stopping power is a serious threat to Khan.
Do have a few doubts about Canelo if Khan were able to execute a clever hit and move strategy though. Not sure if Khan could keep that up for a full fight but think that is where Canelo can be got at.
Am really looking forward to it though and there have not been many Khan bouts that I will have said that about.
Win win for Khan methinks though. If he loses then he does so after taking a gamble to take on a naturally bigger and stronger man so no face should be losts (plus he can fall back then on a big domestic pay day against Brook should he want to throw Brook a bone) and if he wins then I see Mayweather jr coming out of retirement to give Khan that big money fight he so wants.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yes, I agree I don't think it would be a setback in Khan's career should he lose on Saturday. He's moved up a weight class to fight a live opponent who everyone is expecting to win. Win, lose or draw it won't hinder his career moving forward

Yep very clever move by Khan and his people, and no matter how cynical I want to be about the win win side of it, he still had to agree to step in with a top fighter in a division he has no experience of.
Clever move and gutsy move.
Am hoping he wins for a few reasons because it could well set up a Mayweather jr bout, but my main hope would be that it would set up bouts against hitters who have beaten him in the past, Garcia in particular.
Even a close loss to Canelo could see him decide that he would be able to go after guys who stopped him in the past as he would have shown himself that he can hang with a stronger bigger man.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
