Glad I did not stay up for last night's exibition bout though. Watched it online today and ended up fast forwarding through some rounds.

Was a bout between a guy trying hard but being out of his depth against a guy trying to make it last as long as he could.

Just as well McGregor was in with a 40 year old Mayweather Jnr rather than a younger current champ, otherwise he would not be getting the chance to spin this into some sort of "moral" victory, and yes hear it being described in the Irish media this morning as such a victory for McGregor

Was a complete farce, McGregor gassed out after 2 rounds. Mayweather was laughing throughout. Went exactly as I thought it would but I did expect McGregor to do a bit more. Mayweather cruised it, hardly broke a sweat. That's what happens when you put an amateur boxer in with the best of the best.

Can see McGregor boxing again (against a very carefully picked and probably under orders to lose opponent) and being promoted by Mayweather to keep the money train rolling on the tracks.
Could also see Mayweather boxing and beating a UFC champ every couple of years til he's 60
I reckon McGregor weighed at least a stone more than Mayweather on the night.

Saw a few very brief highlights and some of those flurry of punches McGregor threw did seem like they were a bit slapping and bordering on back of the head. Sure his fans will convince themselves it was close but it really wasn't. Perfectly executed game plan from Mayweather.
