Massive few weeks of boxing ahead. Starting this weekend with Nathan Cleverly defending his light heavy title (stop laughing) against Robin Krasniqi. Scott Harrison also shows what he has left against Liam Walsh.
Tyson Fury is fighting former Cruiser boss Steve Cunningham at Madison Square Garden. That fight will be on channel 5 around 10 o'clock on Saturday night. Big chance for Fury to show what he can do.
Fight of the weekend is Saul Alvarez vs Austin Trout for a couple of the 154lb alphabet titles. Both fighters are undefeated. Really looking forward to this fight. Should be decent. Arguably Alvarez's first real test in the ring and Trout looked impressive against Cotto last time out.

You don't rate Cleverly then? He'll been on Boxnation I suppose?Originally posted by spud_gun View PostMassive few weeks of boxing ahead. Yeah the fight is on Boxnation. There's another card on Sky and the Fury fight is on 5.Originally posted by Joey Jones View PostYou don't rate Cleverly then? He'll been on Boxnation I suppose?
Cleverly is a decent enough boxer. Seems to enjoy letting his opponents unload on his chin.
He was handed the title in a lucky bag and his defences over the last 18 months or so have been nothing short of embarrassing. Krasneqi is a step in the right direction

It will be a good chance to see if Canelo is the real deal when he faces Trout tonight. It will be his biggest fight to date. I do fancy Trout to cause an upset tonight.
Did anyone watch the Rigondeaux v Donaire fight last week? I must say I'm in awe of Rigondeaux. To unify two worlds titles in only his 12 professional fight is simply stunning. He's got great skills and you can see that he's really benefited from the hundreds of amateur fights he's had. He simply schooled Donaire.

Was up at 4am watching it last Sunday. An absolute pleasure to watch.
Did you catch Rios vs Alvardo II the other week? If not i can't recommend it highly enough. An instant classic.
The last few weeks and the next few weeks are exciting times to be a boxing fan

Yeh mate. It was a 12 round war which I expected. There's rumours that Avardo could fight Pacquiao in the near future.Originally posted by spud_gun View Post
