That guy has serious power and as you say if he caught Khan he'd be in serious bother!

He's a decent fighter but patently a level or two below Mayweather, talking up a fight with him is good for making money but he should certainly prove his credentials first and perhaps get back in the ring with Garcia again.Originally posted by Tee View PostYep, probably right. But I have a sneaky that Khan's style would really test Mayweather.
I think Khan deserves a tad more respect tbh. He has earnt it, or at least I thought he had.

I think it is just in this country that he has his doubters (and always will). In the States he would not have to prove his credentials if the fight was made for tomorrow because he already has that respect as a fighter.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostHe's a decent fighter but patently a level or two below Mayweather, talking up a fight with him is good for making money but he should certainly prove his credentials first and perhaps get back in the ring with Garcia again."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Stating the obvious mate....everyone is a level or two bow FM.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostI'm sure the fans in the States also see him a level or two below, he's exciting to watch as his chin is always hanging out there and he usually gets involved in fighting rather than boxing which is great to watch but it doesn't prove credentials.

Khan has a boxing IQ on a level with a pair of Chuck Taylor Converse.
He'd give Mayweather about as much trouble as i would.

I agree it would be interesting and Khan will have his moments. As the saying goes "styles make fights" and Khan's speed, the fact that he likes to fight at a distance and add to Mayweather slowing down a little will make this a good fight for the first 3 or 4 rounds. However, Khan is so easy to time and against someone who has the best boxing IQ in our era I see Khan getting picked apart once Mayweather adapts.Originally posted by Tee View PostYep, probably right.
