Yep watched it. Really enjoyed it.
Haha well that's not particularly surprising - Collins came across as a complete gob****e IMO. Full of himself, repeating bland, inane statements over and over again, as though what he was saying was somehow meaningful....like all that ****e when he banged on about "any fighter with a good plan can beat another fighter, good plan, plan well" blah blah blah. 3 or 4 times he interjected and spoke over someone to give it all that ****e.
And his feeble excuse for pulling out of the fight with Calzaghe was embarrassing......"I'VE GOT A DOCTOR'S NOTE I PROMISE!!!1". Total tool. As if he was injured - if he was injured why didn't they say so at the time?! Calzaghe had no idea
Love him to get the match up with Roy Jones Jr and Jones to knock him into the middle of next week.
Thought Eubank came across really well, Calzaghe didn't say a lot but his record spoke for itself. Jones good value too as was Woodhall.Last edited by Shaggy; 23-05-13, 07:53 PM.Thanks very much for beingComment

Yeah, Jones and Woodhall were great to listen to. Especially Woodhall's honesty about his own career, how it was all built on getting to the top of the mountain, and once he got there he didn't have the motivation to stay as he'd achieved everything he wanted to. Roy Jones was good on ambition too, talking about how he wanted to be remembered as a legendary fighter, first by staying unbeaten, then once that had been "stolen" off him by winning at lots of different weights etc.Yep watched it. Really enjoyed it.

I thought Eubank came across a bit ****ty at one point comparing himself as a thoroughbred to Collins's donkey - seemed as though he still can't understand how he lost those two fights even now. He was good otherwise though.
I really like the show format, it's interesting to see boxers talking honestly about themselves without a fight to hype up. The last one was good too with Haye, Khan and Froch.Comment

If you're looking for a good book about boxing check out Four Kings by George Kimball. Details the Duran, Lenoard, Hagler and Hearns era in boxing. Quite possibly one of the finest books on boxing anywhere.
