Does this fight mean little chance of Froch vs Ward 2 then?

Acquit himself well, valiant loser type of thing and its career enhancing, big time.Originally posted by Hollowman View PostGreat fight for Groves. He wins and he's on the world stage. Defeat costs him nothing as Froch is bona fide. Win win, unless he takes a Jeff Lacey style schooling.
The radio was saying that Groves is the mandatory IBF challenger, but he's only 19-0 - how does that work?
There might be a "giving the young guy a chance" thing from Froch here, Calzaghe always ignored him - maybe he's seeing this as affording someone an opportunity.

aye - but froch completely laughed at the thought of fighting groves on that show a couple months back that had froch/calzaghe/eubank/collins etc on.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostAcquit himself well, valiant loser type of thing and its career enhancing, big time.

iirc he even said something to calzaghe along the lines of frustrated he was at the time that calzaghe wouldn't even acknowledge him, but he now understands it because he is in a similar position with Groves.
Didn't even sound like he'd entertain the fight.
Clearly he can't get the Ward fight - groves is the only fight out there that would sell and he might want to just shut the **** up - give him his chance then spark him out
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Dereck Chisora in Ibiza nightclub brawl with Wladimir Klitschko after confronting the world champion

Chisora’s trainer Don Charles said: “They have history but it was purely a coincidence that they bumped into each other during their holidays"
Dereck Chisora was involved in an amazing nightclub brawl with Wladimir Klitschko.
Chisora reignited one of the ugliest feuds in boxing after confronting the world champion in a nightclub on Ibiza. The heavyweights then had to be pulled apart by bouncers.
The Briton spat water in Wladimir’s face in the ring moments before his world heavyweight title fight with the Ukrainian’s brother Vitali in Munich in February last year.
Chisora’s trainer Don Charles said: “They have history but it was purely a coincidence that they bumped into each other during their holidays.”
Chisora, 29, once threatened to shoot David Haye after a brawl at a press conference following the Klitschko fight and has a reputation for being unpredictable.
His promoter Frank Warren claimed he is now just two fights away from a world title bout after beating American Malik Scott at Wembley Arena 10 days ago.
Wladimir, 37, is due to defend his WBA, WBO and IBF world titles against Russian Alexander Povetkin in Moscow on October 5.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
