No don't blame him at all, but after all the talk of how totally out of his depth Groves was i just think it was a bit of a lame win is all.

To be behind on all judges cards going into the 9th is damning imo, and had Groves a couple more years experience behind him, well, it could have made the difference.

For me Groves did exactly what he said he would pre fight as far as how the fight would play out, apart from the main bit which was winning the thing, and tbf we'll now never know if he could have.

I think he got caught a little cold tbh and not prepared for how good Groves actually is, to be honest I think most were surprised at his level.

All the talk is typical of boxing though and it's hard to read into any of it.

For me the fight was stopped a little early but I do think he was going to be stopped that round, he was in serious trouble but he should have been allowed to continue and try and defend himself for a bit longer

A re-match will be music to Eddie Hearn and Sky's ears.

Glad to see Pacman win, really thought after the KO last time out he'd lost it.

Yeah maybe, probably, but it's amazing what a standing count can do for a young strong man, had he had the chance of one.

Oh he should have been given that without a doubt, the ref got it wrong and should have given him the 8 count.

Obviously going to have this opinion but you can't really argue with his point.

Truly gutted. I played my part and from what I've seen of the footage the ref made a terrible decision.. I will demand my rematch

With the titles that were at stake, Groves has cause to be dissapointed.

It's all on Froch's camp now to make the decision of whether to fight again.

If Karl truly wants to give the British fans what they want then he'll agree, but he does have good reason to say no given his age, i don't see him settling the Ward score either tbh, and he's still 1-1 with Kessler really.

                  Still all to do.

He was in a bit of trouble but Froch had been in far more trouble earlier in the fight.

The ref had a ****ing shocker and it made it look bent.

I will be surprised if Froch wants a rematch. Probably one last crack at ward, which he will lose, and then out.

Oh yeah, as I think most pundits have said it should have been allowed to go on longer and at least given him the standing 8 count to give him the chance of seeing if he could come through it, not sure he would have done but at least the opportunity should have been granted.

Yeah, I hope they have a rematch and Froch hasn't really been someone to dodge an opponent however he took a lot of damage last night and you wonder if the desire is still there.

One thing you've got to give Froch is one tough ****er!! Not remembering he'd been knocked down in the 1st until the commentator told him it had happened! He must have been all over the place.

Oh in the first he was close to being out on his feet.

I think he'd have stopped him if it had been allowed to continue but stopping it like it was really wasn't good for boxing as we'll never know if he could have got himself through it.

I don't think it even warranted a standing count.

He was not unsteady on his legs as you can see afterwards and given the shots that Froch had been taking in the early rounds the decision to step in is piss poor.

It wasn't quite ready for the 8 count but it should hae continued and if the same then the 8 count, he certainly deserved the opportunity to fight on at that point though. As I've said I think he was going to get stopped anyway but the ref ruined us seeing either outcome.

Hopefully they'll sort out a re-match but you know what boxing is like

Can you get/a standing 8 count in the pros? Defo happens in amateur boxing but I don't think so in the pros.

Groves would have to have taken a knee in order to get a count. Obviously didn't get a chance as the ref had him in a head lock and marched him away
