Myself I'd have liked to see Mayweather take on either Garcia or Maidana.

Mayweather vs Maidana wouldn't be competitve.

Maidana is a crude slugger. He'd be utterly outlcassed against Floyd.

Garcia at 140 or 147, Bradley at 147 or Golovkin at a 154 (or 160 if Floyd really fancies it) are the three fights i'd like to see.

Maidana would have had a punchers chance but I take your point.

Any of the 3 you've mentioned would have been good

Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora rematch could be in June

Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora could fight each other again in June in a WBO title eliminator, according to Chisora's promoter Frank Warren.

The British heavyweight duo are on the same bill at the Copper Box in east London on 15 February.

Chisora headlines versus American Kevin Johnson, while Fury fights Argentina's Gonzalo Omar Basile on the undercard.

The pair first met in July 2011 at Wembley Arena, with Fury prevailing on points after a brutal encounter.

Fury is ranked fourth in the world by the WBO, while Chisora is reigning European heavyweight champion.

"They're the two best heavyweights in Europe, maybe the world, except for [reigning WBA, IBF and WBO champion] Wladimir Klitschko," said Warren.

"I'm quite sure I can get a final eliminator for the WBO between Dereck and Tyson."
The proposed venue for a June fight is West Ham's ground Upton Park, the scene of Chisora's fifth-round knockout by David Haye in July 2012.

George Groves loses appeal over purse split for Carl Froch rematch

George Groves has failed in his appeal to the International Boxing Federation over the purse split for a world title rematch with Carl Froch.

Froch beat super middleweight Groves in November but a rematch was ordered after the IBF ruled "inappropriate conduct" by referee Howard Foster.

Because Groves is not considered a top challenger, 85% of the money will go to WBA and IBF champion Froch.

The IBF board voted unanimously to maintain the 85%-15% split.
Froch, 36, released a statement last Friday claiming that his rival had turned down a seven-figure offer to fight again.

Fellow Briton Groves, 25, said he was unhappy with several clauses in the offer.

Victor Ortiz (fought Mayweather a few fights back) got smashed by Luis Collazo last night.

This was meant to be the second (or third?) rebuilding of Ortiz's career. After last night it appears to be all over for him.

That was an absolutely ridiculous mismatch for Anthony Joshua. I know he's got to get fights under his belt but that was pointless.

Fourth fight, dude. He seems to take something from it every time he crosses the apron, so I'm not fussed about mismatches at this stage.

I'd have him in with chartered ****ing accountants until he was comfortable with his own **** before I started worrying about looking at domestic belts.

Provide more competition than this fella did anyway.
