would agree with this then jaco - that it's his impressive physique that is making people get excited (oo er) about him

in my limited boxing experience i can't recall seeing a heavyweight looking that ripped and lean/muscular....

David haye did, but he's really a cruiser and he imo looked small as a heavy - but joshua looks a healthy heavyweight and compared to likes of fury/price/klitchko/chisora even deontay wilder - he just 'looks' like a completley different animal

i know what you'll say "you can't put muscles on your chin" - but he just looks like a specimen to my - again untrained/inexperienced - eyes
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

His physique does make him stand out, and it would of course be a selling point. Again I would point you to Michael Grant when he was starting to get noticed.

Imposing physique, tall, marketable, lots of early KOs when in against lesser fighters, lots of talk about his punching power, lots of talk from pros about how far he would/could go.

We will be able to guess at how good he is or is not once he steps up a few levels, but the Skeltons and Sprotts of this world are not going to tell us much by way of how far he could go if he indeed is a world level prospect.

Would prefer to see him in against the likes of Price by the time he hits the 10 to 13 fight mark, and then start working him towards some of the older but still decent heavies out there like Tony Thompson once he has a few more decent fights under his belt. Thompson would be at least a year older than he is now.

I actually would not mind seeing him in with Fury for his 15th or so fight if the likes of Thompson could not be got into the ring. Would be a similar test for Joshua as it was for Fury and Chisora when they faced each other in what was Fury's 14th fight and Chisora's 15th fight.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

So it's a wait and see on Joshua with some slight concerns over his technique and his jaw yet to be tested? Cheers Jaco.

Who do you rate as the next top Heavyweight anyway? Is there a better young prospect out there than Joshua?

Glenns actually been good recently though not a massive fan, perhaps he didn't kiss enough matchroom arse. Watt and the horrific Halling need binning the most.

What's he been sacked for? I must say I always thought he was totally incoherent, inarticulate. Just babbles absolute crap.

No idea just seen him and a few on twitter talking about it.

Someone has even started a petition to get him his job back

I see McCrory retweeted someone calling Adam Smith the biggest turd in sport

Don't care just as long as they don't get rid of Jonny Nelson.

                        Yep, hate him

Total ****. Talks like he had a career like Ali and has this real forced, fake sincerity thing going on, and that what he is saying is probably the most important stuff ever spoken. Bell-end.

hope they replace him with malignaggi, but they won't.

Paulie won't leave American TV surely?

Watt needs to go in fairness - if I miss a boxing match and need to download it I always go for the Anerican commentary, find it so much better.

I used to love Jim Watt when I was a kid. Thought he had a great voice for it and knew what he was talking about. Now most of the time he seems to be watching a different fight, or at least is just totally biased.

Jim Watt just sounds like he's reading from a script that Eddie Hearn has given him
