Good win for Povetkin. That is a few decent wins for him since he lost to Wlad.
Will be interesting to see what happens with Wilder.
Wilder will not want to fight outside of the US, and Povetkin will be very difficult to get to fight outside of Moscow. Even having it in Germany will probably not suit Wilder.
Will most likely go to purse bids, and at that point it becomes a one sided battle as Povetkin's backers have far more financial clout.
Would not surprise me to see the belt dropped if Povetkin's people dig in their heels on Moscow.
My own take is that if you want a belt then you go to the belt holder, but big money has long changed that mentality in the sport.
Not sure where Perez goes from here and the loss to Povetkin. Back home to Cork to start with, but he is looking like he will have to settle for being at the lower end of the mid level guys
