Anyone who thinks Kell is anything but a world class talent is nothing but a hater imo. I appreciate he hasn't got the best of resumes but the talent has always been and it's no surprise he has got good technical skills having learnt his trade at the wincobank gym. What we saw tonight is he definitely does have chin. He took some flush shots from Golovkin and still stayed on his feet. I think his balls were too big for him though. He should have been holding and turning like he did against Porter but he wanted to show Golovkin he could hang with his power. Despite being a better technically skilled and faster fighter he got beat by the sheer power of Golovkin. They have weight divisions for a reason. What I saw tonight though is that a stronger fighter hitting Golovkin with the punches Kell hit him with would have made much more of an impact.
Last but not least I am more convinced than ever now that if Kell and Khan get it on, Kell would wreck him. No doubt about it imo.

Brook done himself a lot of favours last night and really enhanced his rep. He's certainly a very talented fighter.

Can't stand him brother but yes I agree if he were to fight Khan he would smash into pieces no doubt.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostAnyone who thinks Kell is anything but a world class talent is nothing but a hater imo. I don't think anyone doubts his capacity to be world class, he just needs to prove it. Fighting Jojo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Bizier (is that his name?) does nothing. Porter was a quality win in a close fight, but then fight 3 low level fringe contenders? They're not even in the top 10. That kills a reputation for a fighter. I understand it's not all his fault, a lot of welterweights don't fancy getting in with him, he isn't the biggest draw, maybe this will help him get bigger fights. Hearn has to do him favours now and get him good fights against live opponents, otherwise the Porter fight will be the only really notable win on his resume. There's a few other decent names but most of those were over the hill at the time of the fight.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostAnyone who thinks Kell is anything but a world class talent is nothing but a hater imo. I don't know if he is a 'world class' fighter. It's far from a foregone conclusion that he can beat the best light middleweights and welterweights out there. Thurman, Broner, Danny Garcia, Spence, Canelo, Lara, Andrade, a Porter rematch, even Pacquaio or Cotto are all risky fights that he has a good chance of losing. Until he can prove he can beat several of these type of opponents consecutively, I don't think you can consider him world class.
The fact he was hitting Golovkin is irrelevant. This is professional boxing, Brook was never lasting 12 rounds. If anything it proved that he's definitely not a middleweight. Even a lesser puncher at the weight catching Golovkin with those shots would have had more effect on him. He gave a good account of himself and produced an entertaining fight. Now it's time for him to drop down to a more suitable weight and prove he can beat top level opponents.

Anyone giving Liam Smith a chance tonight against Canelo? Haven't seen much of Smith myself but obviously hope he does it. Seems like a nice humble guy, i.e. opposite of Khan.
For those that have seen a lot of Smith - do you think he'll last longer than Khan?
Holy **** Oscar De La Hoya got fat - he must be a heavyweight now. Comeback fight against David Haye
