I enjoyed Chisora - Whyte. Individually they are mid tier to lower tier fighters if we are talking about being on the world stage, but because they are so close in terms of size, strength, and ability (not to mention being up for it) they both put in a performance and I found myself ignoring my usual habit of scoring fights and just enjoyed the tear up for what it was.

Think the decision was the right one as Chisora was a bit too obvious at times in trying to sway the judges, but having said that it also harks back to a chat in here about how judges score. Some judges buy into what he was doing whereas some folk see it in a more negative light.

Would fancy Joshua to finish either of them early doors though. For me Joshua beats Whyte earlier than last time if they meet again, and takes Chisora out fast enough too.

Oh aye. Domestic level those two - but it was a great tear up when I'd expected a pub brawl for 3 minutes followed by 11 rounds of panting and cuddling.

I thought Chisora landed more good shots and had Whyte in all kinds of trouble at times. A rematch would be good.

Would happily watch those two go again. Although Sods law would probably see that turn out in a manner akin to what you expected for last night

If they fight again they should be made to do a five mile run before the bell for round one so we can get straight to the gassed out slugfest fun.

But much quicker if Chisora turned up out of condition.

Wlad I am not so sure he wins against. Mainly down to what I said in my post above this one.
                  Has that ever happened?

Nah, Wlad won't offer much punch resistance IMO. But at least they're well matched on the size front.

What's more interesting is what comes after a 41yo Wlad for me. But that should be a decent fight as well potentially.

Yeah, Fury managed to scrape a points win against the lineal Heavyweight champion of the world who'd gone undefeated in a decade plus.

Not much to write home about tbh.

Joshua on the other hand has battered a Scottish joiner and part time boxer, a Mexican P.E. teacher and Charles '****ing' Martin. What a reign of terror.

Should have said "in great shape by his standards"

Am really unsure as to what sort of punch resistance Wlad will offer tbh. Is very difficult to tell how he will react to being hit, but one thing I am sure of is that if he throws punches then he will be the hardest hotter that Joshua will have faced to date.

Wlad can hit hard, even his jab is heavy, and he is a clever fighter. All boils down to what he has in the tank physically and mentally at this point.

Fights the same sort of fight as he did against Fury, he gets stopped and stopped hard.

Fights with some intent and savvy and then who knows what happens as a Wlad operating with intent and with even 75% of what he had is still better than anyone Joshua has gone against.

It is either a passing of the torch fight or an old Lion showing he still has bite type fight.

The cynic in me thinks that Hearn, Joshua and co reckon that Wlad is badly shot and that this will be a low risk bout against a big name. Khan vs Barrera type fight if you will.

Wlad is a harder hitter than Joshua.

Joshua's china is going to get shattered.

Wlad of old certainly hit hard and his hitting power was proven against better fighters.

Wlad of now though.......hmmmmm remains to be seen.

The what ifs make this fight for me. It is not a high calibre pairing in the way that Ward- Kovalev was, but it is one that will have answered a number of questions, about one if not both of the fighters, when it is over.
