it's obvious tho - Mayweather smashes him in the ring an McGregor smashes Floyd in the octagon

that said i'd still watch it if it ever happened

Part of me would ****ing piss myself if McGregor somehow caught Mayweather early on and knocked him out
Does he have the power? excuse me for being a complete newbie to MMA never watched it but just seen a few of his ;knockouts' on youtube......And after knocking them to the floor he gives them like 20 punches to the head and the ref steps in so no 'knockout' really. aalthough another question do gloves make it easier to knock an opponent out?

I thought he may have a punchers chance but then looking at his fights i dont think so......

Like those **** League vs Union rugby series in the 90s...each one wins fairly comfortably at their own discipline. Pointless.

Would agree with you. Against a trained boxer and under boxing rules, McGregor will be about as effective as Rousey was when she tried to meet someone with a solid boxing background, Holly Holmes, head on.

Have seen folk try to make out that McGregor has the boxing chops to stay with a professional boxer under boxing rules. He simply does not, and his "boxing background" that people speak off consists of zero amateur fights and him having trained at a boxing club in Crumlin when he was about 13.

If this bout takes place it is just a money making exercise for both me. McGregor has zero chance under boxing rules and Mayweather jr would fare just as badly under MMA rules.

The only way one would beat the other at the other's game would be if the fight was fixed.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Like most boxing fans I think the fight would be very one sided, Floyd is a defensive master and would pick off McGregor until his face was all ****ed up, then, maybe, Floyd would finish him.

But...McGregor does seem to have power & aggression & is a hard ******* of that there is no doubt.

Youd have to watch it, even though it is seemingly an easy victory for Floyd you just never know!

Id like to see it happen.

Of course a boxer wins in a boxing match against a non-boxer. But out of curiosity who was the last person FMJ beat up in the ring..? And don't say all of them, i mean punished. The last one i recall was probably Hatton.

He bullied Marquez. The question should be who was the last boxer to lay a glove on Mayweather?

              Mosley?

It's a freakshow fight. Mayweather wins in whatever round he wants.

**** he'll even channel his inner Willie Pep and win rounds without throwing a single punch.

I didn't ask that question as i don't think he is able to.

The only thing we all (perhaps) hope is that somehow, McGregor manages to catch him! ha, I would piss myself if it happened but know that it is as likely as me winning the lottery.

I would definitely watch it though, and if the undercard was half decent probably end up paying for it.

Looks like Khan vs Pacquiao is going to happen then.

Could be a great match up this

                          Shame.

I'd have expected Manny to win it but he could suit Khan's style quite well.
