Well deserved, he's been by far the best player in the tournament. He can dominate for years if he can keep himself focused, there's absolute no doubting his talent, well ahead of anyone in the game.
Anyone see that from next season being Top 16 essentially means nothing? Usually the top 16 get an automatic bye into the last 32 of each tournament, but from next season, they'll all be entering a 128 man draw for the first round of most of the tour events.
Saw interviews with a few and most of the top 16 were dead against it, understandable really.

It's fascinating - I'm not sure whether I'm in favour of it. I get both arguments.
I *think* I like the 128 format. If the top 16 guys are good enough, they'll beat the low ranking blokes anyway.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, that was John Higgins' opinion, he was saying if he can't make the last 16 of tournaments where he has to beat someone ranked well below him, then he doesn't even deserve to be there.
Will be interesting to see some new names. Seems like the current top 16 have been around for years!
Just looking at the rankings now...James Wattana is still playing!

WPBSA rules Stephen Lee has a "case to answer" over allegations of snooker match fixing involving eight ties across four tournaments.
Snooker has to be the easiest sport in which to match fix doesn't it?
Definitely. So easy to marginally miss a few easy pots and throw a game. Hard to prove though unless they've got a paper/digital trail, or a video like they did with Higgins.
