They keep saying they want to make it more exciting and interesting, yet when a character comes along like Mark Allen he's being fined constantly for being outspoken.

I was thinking last night what they can do with snooker to make it more watchable and I couldn't think of anything.

I caught a bit of Dott v Ebdon the other day and there were about a dozen people asleep in the front few rows

There are no personalities in the game, that's the problem. They're all a bunch of dozy, boring ****s and no one is emerging with the talent and showmanship of past greats.

I usually go to watch a few games, this must be the first year in around seven that I can't be arsed. I might catch the latter rounds, especially as I'm off work throughout next week.

Aye that's definitely a factor. Not sure how to remedy that as it's not always easy to demonstrate one's personality in such a sterile environment. Maybe they should allow the players to smoke during matches, that'd be a start

Bring back smoking and drinking. For a start the TV pictures and on screen graphics could be made hazy old school style. Instagram sort of thing. Get rid of Virgo and ex players and get some old folk from a retirement home to commentate.
