Atherton and Hussain are amazing on SKY. It doesn't matter what their averages were as players - they understand the technique and tactics involved in the game. Flintoff is basically slating any journo who didn't have a higher average than him...

As for cricket, I prefer Vaughan. His insights are at least as interesting and enlightening and he's far less boring and arrogant.

Vaughan's okay IMO but I find Athers easily the most enlightening. Cricket punditry full of 'em though. Warne is excellent, Hussain, Holding too.

Vaughan is my favourite The whole TMS team is world class. Even Tuffers is great value.

I loved Athers when I was a boy growing up and watching England, but in hindsight I would say he is a bit of a cunt. Do you remember calling Hick in when he was just short of his hundred. Ha!

Cricketers make much better analysts of their sport than footballers.

I know Fleming named Goldfinger after the architect, Erno Goldfinger, who he didn't like. IIRC Goldfinger considered, or even tried, suing for defamation.
