I don't see why it's better or worse really. If you are going to have a ranking at all then I kind of prefer it being up to date. All just marketing really. Pretty clear that in one day and 20-20 a lot of teams are fairly similar. For it to mean something I'd prefer the series method but in reality it's not that important.
