I am glad that it is all over, it was like passing a crash on the motorway; you know you should nt look but you end up doing so anyway. Clearly this car crash lasted a month, but even so....

By the last test I decided not to watch in terms of England losing or losing but for other points of interest. How quickly England could have the match over was an easy one. How many girly throws Monty would do was another, it was too many to count as wherever he was on the field it tended to be where the Australians hit the ball. How stupidly Pieterson would get out was a good one, how many times he would push for a single when playing with tailender was interesting..so was how many runs Warne would make after Collingwood opened his mouth. How many perfectly executed forward defence shots Strauss would make before making his walk back to the pavillion? More than he made during his innings was the answer. Finally how many times Mahmood would make out that he was going to stop the ball when it was being thrown from the outfield but then just flail an arm at the ball instead.

The Australians were fantastic and even on top form England would have struggled to have lived with them. Losing the second test killed not only any hope of rescuing the series but seemingly any self belief within the England squad, but between the Ashes series they had been doing that against much weaker sides than Australia.

Well at least Vaughan is back as captain for the 1-day matches, can't see s getting any results from it though. It'll be another whitewash no doubt.

It IS only cricket. Liverpool V Arsenal is much more important.

Well that's cheered me up no end

Good thing it was cricket. I found Australia's pre-game bragging for the fourth and fifth tests reprehensible. You're asking for a kicking in many sports if you try to rub your opponent's noses in it when you've already beaten them.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Where was this bragging, i didnt read or hear anything apart from saying that they wanted to win 5-0, do u have any examples?

How does the alleged bragging compare to being awarded MBE's, having open top bus rides, getting Personality of the Year awards and being feted for months just for winning one series?

Whilst the MBE's were ridiculousless O.T.T. and I almost vomitted at the time they were awarded, I don't have too much of a problem with the team of the year award. It wasn't for "winning 1 series", the team had been unbeaten for 2 years and had gone from dog **** to 2nd best in the world plus they beat the best team in the world.
I can understand people being annoyed by the MBE's, but there are some right arseholes who are awarded these. They are totally meaningless publicity stunts as Boycott put it
"I don't want mine anymore, I'm thinking of giving it to my cat".

                      Does 20/20 have any merit?

                      Bizzare little game.

The Aussie batting in the 20/20 today was something else.

As is Englands second innings collapse.

Can you have a collapse in 20/20?
