On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

I want Evans to win but ****ing hell you have to give respect to the Australian part of the Sky train.
Hansen being a Far North Queenslander gets a special mention

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Schleck: I'm not totally surprised..

It was great on the Tourmalet today. About 3km below the summit, we could see it coming up for ages.
And not a cloud in the sky.

Yes, he's phenomenal. The French really respect him - L'Equipe named him as the best sprinter ever in the Tour de France and they say he's done honour to the Rainbow Jersey. They know he's great. A true great.
I saw him on Wednesday. Shouted support. I like to think it made all the difference today.

Do you think he will emulate Wiggins and win the tour one day? He's lost some weight this year which may indicate he's starting to plan this way.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostYes, he's phenomenal. Are we winning?

For me this otur has been one of the least interesting in a while. Ther are two main reasons for this.
The first is a purely nationalistic one, there is only one norwegian in it. While Boasson Hagen has had a great tour, watching him set up Cavendish for a sprint or tow Wiggins around France isn`t always that exciting.
The second is that Sky are too good. The have the two best overall riders, and the best sprinter. When you then add the strength of the team they are basically too strong to make it really interesting.Blank

I can't particularly agree with the last part, Armstrong won it time after time with the best support probably in the history of the event. The Postal team was immense and Lance was on another planet.Originally posted by Resu View PostFor me this otur has been one of the least interesting in a while. Ther are two main reasons for this.

Fair play to Wiggins, its not like he's won the event consistently over the last few years so I thinks its a bit early to be complaining. Lets give the guy credit here and respect the Sky team, this is a massive thing for us and nobody in the world has taken to cycling like the UK has over the last 5 years. We deserve this, Britain loves cycling now, the roads are chocca with us.Last edited by Suarez; 21-07-12, 12:06 PM.

Some of the Armstrong years wasn`t very interesting either, for the reasons you mention.
I don`t have any negative to say about Wiggins or Sky, they are just going the best they can, and it just proves to be far too much for the other teams. I just don`t think it has been a very interesting competition.
Your last point is basically the opposite my first. I think it`s been boring due to lack of norwegian success, you think it`s been good due to british success.Blank

I think you're probably right there, its great for the UK though, it really is. Would I be liking it this much if Wiggins wasn't winning, probably not.Originally posted by Resu View PostSome of the Armstrong years wasn`t very interesting either, for the reasons you mention.

No, he will never even finish in the top ten of any Grand Tour.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostDo you think he will emulate Wiggins and win the tour one day? He's lost some weight this year which may indicate he's starting to plan this way.
Froome has been great but he's merely been doing his job. I think some of the coverage here in France has been a bit unfair on Wiggins, saying he's only winning it because of Froome.Originally posted by Molby View PostThis tour has been fantastic viewing, loving every minute.....
I'd love to see a race where it's every man for himself - pure racing...
What's your own views on Frome and how he's doing so much donkey work for Wiggins?
To me, he's been the real star......
It's rather like saying Cavendish has only won the sprints he has because of his teammates. That's true, but it doesn't mean any of them would have won the sprints if the roles had been reversed.
Of course it's not quite the same because Froome has looked to be close to Wiggins but there's no doubt Froome couldn't have won it without someone doing for hm what he has done for Wiggins.
I think that makes sense...
