Yeah. A little sullied now perhaps but still an amazing battle.

Forty minutes from Saint-Estève - insane.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Dunno, Wiggins said his favorite moment of the year, apart from winning the tour, was leading out Cavendish on the Champs.

        Could be all bollocks though.
        *Except Michael, who died.

It's Sean Yates. But to be honest I can't respect Yates anyway, he was implicit in Armstrong's doping. Armstrong was Yates' protege whilst he was doping, you telling me Yates didn't know exactly what was going on?

It's a shame Neil is on another one of his self-imposed absences as he would have enjoyed this quote from Andy Murray:

"The one thing I would say with a sport like cycling is it's purely physical, there's very little skill involved in the Tour de France."

            Comment

True though innit. Compared to the sheer skill involved in tennis, which is both extremely skilful and also physically punishing.

Yeah, he's absolutely right, without question, but it still made me chuckle just how comprehensively he managed to belittle cycling in just one sentence. He also talked about it basically being about producing "wattage" and that's all, like turning a kettle on or something

                  Found the full quote:

"There's a lot of testing at the top end but lower down there isn't anywhere near as much," said the Scot. "I think that only the top-50 singles players and the top-10 doubles players have to do it. You need to do it throughout the whole sport."

But Murray believes tennis was in a much healthier position than cycling. "I think there's very little skill involved in the Tour de France, it's pretty much just physical," he said. "A lot of the way the teams work now is just science whereas with tennis, you can't teach the skill by taking a drug.

"Virtually the whole of the Tour de France was taking drugs 10 years ago and in tennis since 1990 [tennis] has had [around] 65 positive tests, 10 of them recreational and 30 to 35 performance-enhancing in that time. In one year of the Tour de France you had more than that so I don't think tennis has been that bad. But that isn't to say that more can't be done to make it 100% sure there are no issues."

He's basically referring to cyclists as lab rats here:

Haha I'd love to put him on a bike at the top of the al d'huez and say see you at the bottom! No skill!

                          He's still wrong.

I might've let him off if he wasn't Andy Murray, but he's a cunt.

Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins is in hospital after an incident on a Lancashire road.

Wiggins, 32, who also won a gold medal in the time trial at London 2012, was involved in a collision with a car in Wrightington.

The Lancashire Evening Post claims the star may have broken several ribs and suffered hand and wrist injuries.

The incident happened at 6pm on Wednesday evening outside a petrol station in Crow Orchard Road.

Garage attendant Yasmin Smith told the paper: "By the time I got there he had moved to a safer place but was still on the ground and he was in a lot of pain.

"He said he thought he had broken his ribs and while a lot of police cars arrived it was about 15 minutes before the ambulance got there by which time he was blue."

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "A cyclist has been involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Astra car.

"The rider of the bike, a 32-year-old local man, was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. His family have been told."
