Most of his interviews are right after a race so my post may apply more widely.Originally posted by Alex View PostNo, not seen him today. Just that I can never remember him being happy to be interviewed.
But yes, he probably is quite taciturn. He's from the Isle of Man you know..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Good tactics from Cannondale today, finished off by the Boy Wonder..

Sorry, I'm away at the moment. And the Giro summaries ended up being a chat just with Casemore. I'll see about doing more when I'm back.
I didn't see any of today's race but the aftermath.
We got to our new hotel just too late to see Froome cross the line but we saw Porte come in in second. Froome should win from here - the best by a mile.

It was basically a repeat of last year - Sky completely dominant on the front, decimating the field.
Doesn't look like anyone will get close to Froome. On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Probably mid 30's is the upper limit, I think Cadel Evans is 36 now and he won the tour back in 2011 but is still seen as a challenger for the overall standingsOriginally posted by captainfog View PostHow long are riders careers? How long will someone like Wiggo be able to go on for because most sports he'd only have a couple more years left at the top level.

Yes except he isn't credible really.
As for today, I don't think anyone expected that collapse.
Froome handled being isolated really well but it gives everyone else hope. The last time he was isolated was when he lost the overall in Tirreno-Adriatico. Of course it doesn't look like any of his rivals now are as strong as Nibali was then but a change in the conditions and repeated attacks and he could be in trouble.
Still, I'd expect Sky to regroup after what was a bad performance from all except Froome..
