I have greater doubts about a team run by a doper, whose lead rider served a ban for doping, and that somehow managed - on regular road bikes, after already completing twelve days of racing and without all their riders - to go faster in the last 31km into Saint-Amand-Montrand than they did on the TTT..

I don't think Froome's results should be doubted any more than Wiggins' last year or anyone else's who hasn't been linked to doping.
Some scepticism about individual riders which is rooted in cycling's history is reasonable enough. But we can't extrapolate from that history and apply it to and whisper against any one individual, especially one with consistent results at the highest level for some time. Besmirching one person's name without any evidence isn't fair..

Fantastic ride from Froome. Over 4 minutes in front now.
Contador and co are going to have to attack on days when there are multiple mountains. The ride to Le Grand Bornand should be fun - I've driven the Glandon (my car overheated) and ridden the Madeleine. They're both punishing climbs. And then the riders have at least one Cat 1 climb after that.

Amazing effort from him wasn't it, the burst he made to break away from Contador initially was brilliant and then again to break Quintana (who I've really enjoyed watching in this tour).
I think today might well have broken some spirits as he's clearly the best climber in the field at the moment, the trio of Porte, Kennaugh and Froome rode it so well today.
Stage 18 (probably the one you've mentioned) is going to be very entertaining!Comment

I'd forgotten about the Alpe-d'Huez stage.
The one I mentioned is the day after.
My biggest concern about stage 18 would be the descent off the Col de Sarenne. It's supposed to be tricky and if it's wet then Froome could struggle. At least it's a weakness for him.
The issue is whether the team can control both stages enough. Stage 18 has two category 3's and one category 2 before the first ascent of the Alpe (the Col de Sarenne follows and is a category 2 but is nothing much I expect). Stage 19 has one category 2 and two category 1's as well as the two HC climbs!
It's probably the harder one for the team to control.
And then stage 20 has a brutal finishing climb too.
It's not all over. We know who the strongest rider is but will his team perform like today or like last Sunday when it matters?.
