Bradley Wiggins and Shane Sutton Hospitalised after road crash
having actually driven where this accident happend (its on my route to the M6 if i am going south it doesnt surprise me at all.
not sure which direction he was coming from as if he was onthe way from his house thats two directions of that little junction or if he was on the way home its the other two.
but its a pain in the neck with drivers looking for the smallest gap and going for it.
I would think its very likely to be the drivers fault there.
heard on the news that the woman driving the van turned right out of the petrol station, probably into the oncoming wiggins.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
you efectivly are near the M6 junction there are two lanes in either direction seperated by a grass verge. there is a gap to which you can go down a country lane (the one i use to get home)
when its busy its a nightmare as no one gives at all and then people try to push in so am surprised there are no more accidents there and its lucky that is wasnt more serious really.
however i imagine with the increase in popularity in Cycling and the fact we are having more dark than light during the day will we see a spate of accidents?
Is this based on the same instincts that leads fish and birds to form groups? To minimize the risk of you being the on caught (hit?)
No. Obviously the number of accidents goes up but it increases more slowly than the number of cyclists/total number of miles cycled. The obvious explanation is that more cyclists on the road about makes drivers more aware, and more likely to look for them rather than just looking out for gaps between motor vehicles.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

and that BP garage is bloody expensive
They have just upgraded to some fancy new pumps though
I only work up the road at the hospital and the news crews only left at around 3pm. Every man and his dog was slowing down for a look this morning
Your right though that junction is really bad, like you say i'm surprised there aren't a lot more accidents there. When it's as dark as it is at the moment though i can see how it would be easy to miss a cyclist
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Ah yeah I wondered if he was coming from Heskin and therefore past the hospital or from the road I use
Wouldn't like to ride a bike there at rush hour. I see loads around charnock Richard .
I haven't been since the snazzy new pumps. It's far too expensive
