True, I don’t think Test matches can ever be approached at anything other than 100% and it’s never detracted from match day experiences (tho Sunday KOs can **** off), but means in particular the summer tours have more purpose. Will drive interest for sure tho suspect the bigger nations will gain the most. Perhaps I like it as it stops the SRU from putting meaningless padding fixtures like we seem to organise every autumn. Having to play South Africa away next summer is a great opportunity and one that should drive improvements.
Every 2 years I think.
My one caveat is that it detracts from the RWC.
It’s like that stupid nations league in football and it make preventing the likes of us and ye “blooding” players vs weaker teams given points will count. I get it but I don’t love it
I’m a bit down on sport these days - Liverpool are **** and I can see Ireland deteriorating in rugby. At least you’ve a successful nation team although Ireland gave me two good nights recently
Meh - more games and it’s going the way of football now. I get having “meaning” to the non competition test matches but I never felt test games lacked edge.

I turned it off when it went 21-0 as the level of control was total, and it looked like it was going to be a rout
Well done the Pumas for hanging in there, but WTF was that from the Scots?
So infuriating. Townsend ****ed the bench going 5-3 then we lost Gregor Brown early. Having Duhan on the bench made no sense whatsoever. Then he didn’t make changes at scrum half and within the backs when momentum was sliding.
But overall it’s on the players, metal weakness exposed again.
Pumas fought back brilliantly and Carerras was amazing when he came on.
How are the wallabies only 5 down at half time? That was a Liverpool away level **** performance from them
Ireland are far from where they used to be but we won comfortably, the weather was horrible and ye guys wouldn’t be used to that. So many of our lads are well past their peak now and we are due a big transition period.
SA are far clear of the test with England coming up to lead thd chasing pack IMO
Japan may have just blown it with seconds left in the game. Yellow card for a high hit. They’ve been the best team by miles. Wales with a kick to win it.
