No idea - Townsends first game in charge though, some interesting changes to our Rugby. We are off to Australia next.

Playing some nice stuff though.

I tell you what we've scored 2 wonder try's. Some awesome offloads.

Although it was against Italy, that was a superb performance from Finn Russell. Created 2 trys with Rugby that was reminiscent of his coach Gregor Townsend. One backwards offload that was absolutely superb.

How strong was the Italy team - I know your lot had loads missing?

I've just remembered it's Eng' v the Argies this evening.

What with Lions call ups and injuries IIRC we have 11 new caps including an 18 year old and now that most of the Argies play together in the same Super rugby team I should imagine they'll win by 10 or so.

But I'll probably take that because the experience of playing a gnarly side with a mental crowd behind them should do wonders for the development of the England team longer term.

Italy were fairly ****, but it was a good run out. The summer tours are a great opportunity to blood players and try out new combos.

I think Laidlaw will have a fight on his hands to keep Ali Price out of the team in the autumn.

We had a few missing but WP Nel and Duncan Taylor returned who would have both been in Lions contention if fit. Taylor was Saracens player of the year the season before last.

I was out last night so recorded it and started watching about mid-night. Having had a few scoops I resigned myself to falling asleep. Blimey, there were no worries on that level; what a game. The two young props in particular were sensational.

In fairness the Argies didn't deserve to lose and they are now fun to watch - nothing like they used to be when it was forwards forwards forwards. Shows what exposure to the Super rugby circuit can do.

Why did they go for the drop goal when they had a pen coming and only 4 mins on the clock..?

That was a weird one - it was like they suddenly reverted to the team they used to be when they would have won comfortably if they had taken a bit of time out of the game.

Replacements: Owens, McGrath, Cole, Jones, Tipuric, Laidlaw, Farrell, Daly.

Might need to try and find a way to score a couple of trys?
