I know but I can’t imagine Townsend going without there being a proportional representation from Scotland. I’m hoping for 5-6. We will see.
I’d be amazed if that many don’t tour - I am not sure how many will start in the test but a v strong chance of 3 or 4. I saw that it may be a reduced squad which will make it v tough getting into the squad

He has some huge calls with the England lads, particularly the Sarries ones who had poor 6Ns and now are playing Championship. When he had brutal calls to make previously, say with the Scots he made them. Will he go with loyalty this time, but in doing so perhaps undermine the credibility of what the Lions is all about?
I’d have hoped for one of our front row Fagerson or Sutherland, Watson, Russell, Hogg and Van see Merwe. Outside of that Gray, Price, Harris and Ritchie all put forward strong cases for inclusion. Out of that lot surely 5 or 6.
Garland used the Lions to improve the Wales squad last time, so how this tour could improve some of our players would be fascinating to see.

Back row and second row are the biggest competition - I don’t see Gray making it tbh - Jones, Itoje, Ryan, Beirne (because he plays back row) and possibly Gray

I’d agree with Gray to be honest. He’s just on the edge of making it.
