My Facebook timeline is already full of the Welshies posting nonsense about the Rubgy. If it wasn't drivel about Fiji, or some glee that Prince William was singing its now that they have suddenly discovered they are 1/1,024th Australian or something.
Going to be sweet revenge if we end up finishing above them in the group.
One other thing - when refs give penalties after a scrum, it's a ****ing guess isn't it?
No more than when there's contact between 2 footballers in the penalty area: Sometimes it's dead obvious that one players tripped another, sometimes it's a 50:50 call on the part of the referee.
Scrum penalties are often clear - illegal bind / feet too far back to support body weight / pushing in at an angle etc
On other occasions there is guesswork because the dark arts of the front row can make it difficult to be sure. The best refs will re-set rather than presume, or take advice from their touch judges, but the less good ones (and the good ones who get frustrated by excessive collapses) may blow the whistle without being 100% certain.
But like I said it's not like football refs never do.
We were totally outmuscled there. SA pack look very strong.
Big game for us next week now.
Anyway, on to the main event. I can relax and enjoy this one
Torture ahead for you English chaps I suspect, but I think England are going to just shade this.
