We looked dead and buried at 60 mins. But. France looked ****ed last 20, we were way fitter than them. Anothe r5 mins and I think we’d have won that. Out scores then 4 tries to 3.

The difference between that game and the England Wales game is almost to the point it feels like a different sport.

That game was full on, a proper test match, so not surprising. But he is class and you want to see tel he best at a World Cup.

We’ve got Georgia in 2 weeks but I don’t want us risking anyone important now. I think selection should be done.

You guys have got England this weekend… they were abysmal on Saturday so should be an intriguing encounter. I think Borthwick is a disastrous appointment for them.

It’s a joke. Just watching it now again… it’s high, no hands, no attempt to wrap… it’s a red. If the prior action is to always be taken into consideration then I don’t think we will ever see another yellow let alone red in Rugby.

I’ve no desire to see Farrell banned at all, but this is a re-writing of the rules to make an exception (2nd time this year for him) which sets a dangerous precedent.

Question, was the tackle intentional? The player on the receiving end was on his way down from the contact with the other player. It looked accidental

It’s just poor technique. He needs to lower his body and aim to tackle at the waist. Farrell has a history of these hits and with the ongoing push towards player safety (no head hits) then a tackle like this is a real issue. One way or other Farrell knows he is about to make a tackle and their is nothing in his prep that shows he was about to make a legal one… again!

Rugby is a brutal contact sport, so the lines are pretty tough to clarify, but under any metric that is a red card.

One thing, it does seem to have United Rugby, with players and commentators, including English ones all shocked that he got away with it…
