Won't help you if Buzzo and Nev's teams perform an Austria v Germany style stitch up

(If you don't get it, you're probably too young to recall Espana '82 ).

That means we would need to lose by 21 points whist scoring 4 tries….. Scotland need to score circa 50 points. As much as I’d like to see SA go out, I don’t think we could make that work

I hadn’t though if that. I think we need a 21 point win whilst allowing Ireland a BP that’s the only way both can go through.

The Celts coming together to stitch up the Saffers.

What a game it would be…

Good interview with Finn. Whatever happens on Saturday I love this team.

I still maintain this is a huge game that can go either way, when I look at your depth now it’s impressive with test Lions not making the team. We will be focussed, regardless of what the media and public are saying. Farrell will not allow anything but ultimate focus on Scotland plus we have a fully fit squad which is mad

Our lineout which was a strength has been v poor recently, we need to get that back functioning. If we win up front then we win, ye guys need a monster performance from the front 5

Agree with all of that. We hopefully are fully fit also.

I also think we need to play our game, and not try to counter yours. That does mean being trying to match you up front. I’d play Hanish Watson and I’d play Darcy Graham. Can’t decide if we go for the defence of Harris or the offence of Huw Jones.

We do have a strong squad, the best I’ve seen. But you guys are going for the world record of consecutive wins. Nobody had figured out a way to beat you for 17 matches.

I think we will see another galant failure. Because ultimately I agree, you willl not take us lightly, you know we are tough to beat. The 6Ns game was a war in the first half.

The other factor is discipline keeping it will be absolutely key both sides.

I am less than confident and I can typically find a reason to be cheerful from almost anywhere.

It’s a fascinating game and it’s knock out rugby from here on in - I’m confident but v wary

You must feel like that for the entire tournament.

In terms of your chances of winning it - if not now - when? I think you’ll win it.

That isn’t in my mind tbh, it’s an Irish inferiority complex I was/am worried about getting out of the group and then we’ll see

Fecks sake Nev. If you cannot dream big when supporting the number one ranked team in the world when can you dream?

This Ireland team has the ability and the mentality to win it. Maybe they will, maybe they will not, but think as a unit Ireland have never had a better chance.

My own gut feeling is that we have another meeting with SA in our future, but is a hell of a lot more fun watching the Irish rugby team play than the Irish footy team.

For me watching Ireland in rugby is like watching Limerick in hurling. Same sort of feeling, and the same confidence in the mindset of the the guys playing in green. The times when a team is at the top of the pile are to be savoured and enjoyed because at some point another team will be at the top and we will be wishing our team was up there.

Scotland are a potential banana skin of course, but if they play to their best and Ireland play to their best, then the outcome should be an Irish win, no disrespect to the Scots....well other than to Buzzo.

So here's to a weekend of Ireland winning, Liverpool winning (twice if we include tonight), a head shave along with beard wash/condition/trim and strutting around Cork city centre like a god.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

No Harris or Watson even on the bench shoes Scottish depth

Been listening a lot to the build up and now I’m even more nervous…… you can see the mood change in the Irish as well. All focus on this game and taking Scotland v seriously…… all recent games we win were in the balance at some point and it was who took chances

                              Discipline massive tonight
