Though that game says more about the Saffers than any game where they trounced another team.

England playing and spoiling at the highest level they were currently capable of.

SA being a bit off the boil.

The weather very much suiting a home nation team and still SA ground out a win.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Wet ball doesnt specifically suit teams from the NH - it’s a nightmare for us for example. But it does suit teams… such as the two who played last night. And specifically England who have the least developed game through 9-15.

This is an interesting discussion which will absolutely rile some. I do sometimes feel that given the subjective nature of a scrum pen then a shot at 3 points is too much reward. Maybe a FK would be more suited.

Edinburgh won a decent game yesterday - and it was really good to see Ben Healey who won MotM. Once we get our internationals back I am really excited about the season ahead.

Alleged racial slur by Mbonambi against Curry. Apparently called him a white cunt. Allegation like that could cause him to miss the final.

I’d support that. It does seem like scrums are being setup to win penalties over getting the ball out quickly… it’s a good idea

That said, the massive amount of cry arsing around scrums is pretty reactionary and seems to be solely based on England going out. I have slightly bought into that

Every other team takes defeat on the chin, but when England go out, you have the likes of Dalalgio claiming England lost due to Ben O'Keefe.

The moment SA took a mark and chose to scrum, then marmalised the England scrum about 4 times in a row was the reason England lost.

Porter wins pens all the time unless we have Barnes reffing, he “paints the wrong picture” apparently! I think if a ref thinks a certain way it’s hard to pull it back

I said it to my Dad that once Sinckler and Genge came on England would struggle in the scrums and do it was. The scrum win when Kolbe knocked on was the winning of the game, Farrell primed for another drop goal

Was that when Pollard kicked that monster down the line for the lineout they in turn scored the try from. I couldnt recall of that was from then or from the mark.

To be honest at that point I thought the game had gone for them.

Wayne Barnes gets the gig for the final

I can’t stand him as a ref, let’s hope he doesn’t turn it into the Wayne Barnes show

Fair play! An honest take on the final scrum.

Going to be embarrassing for Tom Curry if this is true.

Stupid kant might have been the most appropriate.

Whilst this flies in the face of your England bashing, it’s supposedly an off the ball incident being looked at.

All pretty pointless tbh, games over and the better side went through.

Nah, I thought England played well - genuinely. To the point I thought the game was done.

But this kind of thing is poor.

You can literally hear the exchange in the top clip - and Curry speaking to the ref.
