Didn't it used to be Brazil ? Terrible venue to start with. It's one of the tracks I'd not be sorry to see lose its spot on the calendarLeave a comment:

They should never have the season opener in Oz. Brazil, Japan China, Malaysia or even Abu Dhabi. Just not Australia.Leave a comment:

Yeah, Rosberg win was good for the championship tbh, poor start from Lewis and got a bit unlucky pitting just before the Alonso crash but you're right Ferrari got it horribly wrong today it was their race.
Never been a fan of street circuits, much prefer proper race circuits.
Lewis will come away feeling a bit lucky to have grabbed second today.Leave a comment:

Yeah, interesting that the halo debate and head protection issue was raised after a car landed on his head in Belgium a couple of years back, and then he's involved in the other side of it today where he might not have been as easily retrievable if a closed cockpit or halo had been on his car today. That would have killed him a generation before.
The race was enjoyable though, especially the Palmer / Sainz / Verstappen traffic jam and Max getting narky and losing his rag. Plenty happening up and down the grid, and had this been on a track where you can actually pass, the action would have been fantastic. It was probably good for the show that Rosberg won today - just shows you the importance of a good start on these ****ty tracks where passing is impossible. Ferrari though...threw it away.Leave a comment:

Alonso has more lives than a cat. He's had quite a few big crashes now and thankfully walked away from them all.Leave a comment:

Good to see the new qualifying format is likely to be binned off, didn't work at all!!
Impressive time from Hamilton today, think it was quicker than the 2004 track record set by Schumacher (race lap time). Fancy it won't be quite as wide a margin come the race though and the Ferrari's will be at them.
Oh and bloody impressive from Verstappen yet againLeave a comment:

F1 is wank, went off it when they went down to 1.6's.
What's the ****ing point?? F1 should be about massive displacement, huge power engines and before anyone says these do make huge power I already know that, but the car's sound ****.
I've mentioned this before not that anyone takes notice but if you want to watch some proper, decent racing then watch the BTCC. It's ****ing brilliant, real nose to tail racing, aggressive hard driving and so exciting to watch. The car's spit flames and everything, not like ****ty F1 and they sound amazing too.
The new season starts up in a months time. Trust me, anyone who hasn't watched it stick it on.
Until F1 brings back car's that sound like this, I won't be watching it.

Aye a total farce.
Rosberg's run of 6 poll's comes to an end then, when it matters most.Leave a comment:

Honestly qualifying this morning was dreadful, it was change for change sake and actually made it worse.
Hopefully they bin it immediately as not having a car on track with 4 minutes or so to go in Q3 is bloody awful.Leave a comment:
