Half of the grid are failed F1 drivers.

Its quite funny to watch- the battery only lasts half a race so they literally swap cars mid race. Watching them try get out of the car and leg it into the other can be quite funny

I thought I'd get into the Formula E series instead, electric, shorter races, city tracks, etc, but I've missed most of them too.

Aye I don't think I've watched a full race yet, complete lack of interest.

I keep telling myself I'm into this and watch as much as I can. After turn 1, or maybe the first lap, I get totally bored and end up falling asleep.

Yea, purely through talent- i'd rather Hamilton won. Rosberg isn't in the same league as him

Rosberg is a complete tool though, the most boring man in F1

Would love Rosberg to win the championship. Hamilton is a helmet.

Poor wasn't it. Only vague positive was Lewis didn't win and keeps it close at the top.

Something's got to give in terms of testing though as its either going to be the Mercs works team or Ferrari fighting for the title more engine manufacturers are needed I.e Renault and the Hondas to ensure there's a bit more of a tussle for the title.

    Interesting...

Doesn't explain why the Toro Rosso is beating them though! They have the same engine, but Toro Rosso, the junior team, quite often beats them. Can't just be the engine, surely...

Alonso could have had a few more titles if his decision making was better.

Alonso should have a long hard look at himself when it comes to his decision making away from the races. If he'd behaved himself better at McLaren, regardless of "broken promises" relating to a guaranteed number one status, and taken on the challenge of beating the rookie driver, then he'd probably be looking at having 3 or 4 titles by now. If his mindset had been in the right place in 2007, he would have won that title. If he'd cemented his place as number one at McLaren at Lewis's expense, its not unfeasible that he would have won Lewis's first title in 2008 as well. There's 4 titles. He wasted his opportunities to win more titles by storming off to Renault when he did - sure it never worked out at Ferrari, because they returned to type, but he could have more titles but for his temperament.

PS edit - He's also one of my favourite drivers. There are very few drivers as engaging as him to watch when he's on form and going for it.

Funny though, how drivers never moan when they're winning.

Alonso has let himself down a bit imo, couldn't win at Ferrari, now Maclaren, but if he'd been driving for either Red Bull Or Merc in recent years he'd be well happy as was Vettel, now he's moaning.

Had Hamilton made that 'amateur' comment people would be calling him a spoiled brat... blah blah.

Ferrari could have done the same good work as Merc in recent years, it's teams like them that are letting the sport down imo, they've been shocking, and for far far too long now.

Ps. Really like Alonso, one of my fav drivers, but there is definitely double standards going on with all this moaning about Mercs dominance.
