I think they are all actually further away. That Merc time on the soft tyre was something else. -
I think you're right in terms of anyone catching them interesting to see who has jumped up though (if anyone) to challenge Williams for the 2nd spot and surely Lotus can't be as bad as last season.Leave a comment:

Looking forward to the season starting next week its going to be interesting to see if anyone has got close to the Mercs.Leave a comment:

While i agree, sort of, many drivers have had such impacts, and rumors such as these haven't necessarily followed.I though the GPS and other data released indicated that he was braking as hard as possible at the time of impact which surely wouldn't have been possible if he had blacked out before the crash.
I think people around F1 are worse than football fans at random extrapolation from minimal facts.
Alonso clearly had a pretty extreme concussion so I think a 'long' recovery seems reasonable. In general I think the problem in sports of all types is people expecting athletes to come back too quickly from this type of injury.
Can't believe the first race is so close.

Its a weird one this. There are all manner of rumours that he was electrocuted that were really swiftly denied by everyone at McLaren.
He also forgot some family members, apparentlyLeave a comment:

Not great news about Alonso if true, saying he could have blacked out before the crash, and not due to it, also rumours that when asked who he was, he replied 'Alonso i drive go carts', later when asked he replied... 'i drive for Ferrari', hence pulling him from the season opener.

Seems Alonso is going to miss the first race of the season. Probably not a bad decision to make in light of how long he spent in the hospital and after the Bianchi crash of last year.Leave a comment:

Alonso airlifted following a crash in testing at Barcelona. Hope he's ok. Been reported that he's concious, speaking and has been taken in for tests.Leave a comment:

Not paying for engines will save a lot. It has to be a worry though for f1. Williams has nicked sponsors from lotus. FI have nicked some from sauber. Not many new sponsors about though.
Did you kow that the teams compete with Bernie for sponsors? Bernie gets the cost for the track side sponsors? Well formula one management does to be strictly true. The weird thing is that the teams have to supply a list of people who they are bringing to a gp so from gets a head up and can nick a sponsor from under the teams noses.Leave a comment:
Be great as a road car imo.
