Vettel was amazing in that race. The lap he put in after the restart was one of the most searingly brilliant, dominant laps I have ever seen in F1. He was 3.2 seconds ahead just one lap after the safety car pulled in, I can't remember anyone pulling that level of superiority over a second placed car over a lap before. Fair enough over last place, but 3.2 seconds a lap quicker than 2nd place?! Phenomenal.

He pulled a 20 second lead out in 9 laps! It can't all be the car, that is enormous talent thats being displayed.

He's a very good driver no doubt but that car is light years ahead of the rest.

Well, if that was the case and it was all car, they'd be finishing 1-2 every race like Senna and Prost in 88 or even Mansell and Patrese in 92.

Not necessarily, car set up comes into as well as the multiple failures Webber has had with the car i.e. KURS.

No getting away from him being a good driver but he has the best car and certainly has been backed in that team far more than Webber ever has.

It isn’t all down to the car though, the team mate comparisons can tell you that.

A parallel can almost be drawn with Hamilton in the Merc – start of the season, Rosberg was outperforming him, but as he gives more feedback for the development team to suit his style, he’s started beating him and would have done the same last weekend if he hadn’t been told to hold station.

Vettel puts in the time off the track as well as being excellent on it (apparently he has an incredible work ethic) and he’s getting his rewards. Mark Webber just isn’t as good at that side of things as Seb and with it being his last season as well, his motivation isn't as high both on and off the track. When he thought he was getting equal billing (2010), sure it was closer, but he still couldn't beat him over a season despite being the vastly more experienced driver.

            Still don’t like him though.

I agree it's not all down to the car but it bloody well helps as was proven when Alonso went back to Renault.

Got to give redbull and Vettel, regardless of whether he has the best equipment or not he does keep pulling it out of the bag in both qualifying and then the race itself.

Interesting to see if he ever does move and go the Hamilton route.

Good stuff from Hamilton to get the second. Hopefully, he'll be a bit more aggressive with Seb from the start than Rosberg managed last time out. I'm fully expecting Seb to dance away into the distance though, he's bang on form at the moment.

And DC got it right, Alonso looks so ****ed off.

                Raikkonen is just annoying.

The redbulls off the line have been mighty this season, if he gets to that first corner in the lead I think he'll stretch it to over a second before DRS is enabled.

Alonso is not a happy camper is he, you do wonder if Raikkonen has been brought in as a safety net for Alonso leaving the season after this one.

Is the race on at stupid o'clock then?

I woke up this morning looking forward to watching lunch time qualifying only to see the result on Twitter at 9.30 this morning!

Yeah coverage starts at 5:30am so probably be around a 7am race start
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
