Well I don't buy those newspapers to which you refer yet love a good racing pile up. The problems these days is as soon as you get contact you get punished. Just like football is almost non contact. Its sport but watered down version.

Lots of contact go's unpunished though, Rosberg was only punished for hitting Hamilton on purpose by Mercedes, Stewards regarded it as a racing incident, just as they do with most of the contact.

They really don't get instantly punished for contact when racing, not at all.

Magnasson got a 5 second penalty for taking someone wide at the chicane. Coulthard was agreeing. It was wheel to wheel racing with a guy in a slower machine doing his up most to retain his position. DRS is a joke. Hamilton was getting grief last year for collisions when it was just him playing hard.

But there has been some fantastic close wheel to wheel action this year, Riccardo being the best at it. He is a proper racer.

Mighty last sector from Lewis, good to see this track has evened things up a bit and the red bulls and Ferraris are pretty close to them.
