In recent years haven't most of the women's slam winners been mid to late 20's? and Serena is 31 and world number 1?

Maybe she needs to move out the comfort zone though much like Murray who went to Lendl and has taken him up quite a few levels

Yeah I think they're the same issues that Murray had. Wasn't he with a British coach for quite a while but went to Lendl about 1 or 2 years ago?

Aye, she should ditch him. If she aspires to be one of the best in the world, how can she take him seriously? Best he did was top 200 or something. It wasn't right him trying to tell word-ranked number 4 Murray how to improve.Originally posted by Sarb View PostShe is with Miles Maclagan now. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Exactly. I think Tennis is a sport where if you want to be a winner, you actually need to be coached by someone who has been there and done it. Not many Brits out there who have

The way he was putting his point across was stupid, but there was a valid point in there. Not sure if it's true but he or Gough said that her last coach split with her because he said she wasn't willing to go the extra mile in training. She has probably received a hell of a lot of support and funding, but she just appears in awe of the occasion really and keeps coming out with "Ah it was a great experience".
Sometimes Durham speaks sense but its mostly ****e. i caught ten mins yesterday and basically if a golfer or tennis player hasnt one a major they are a failure till they do, Wasn't just Robson was Westwood, Montgomerie as well.
It was just Wummery of the highest order.
A Tennis Major at present is a lot harder to get then a Golf Major as well._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

I agree and I'm actually loathe to agree with anything that Durham says because he is a total bellend.Originally posted by red g View PostSometimes Durham speaks sense but its mostly ****e. i caught ten mins yesterday and basically if a golfer or tennis player hasnt one a major they are a failure till they do, Wasn't just Robson was Westwood, Montgomerie as well.

But I think at 19, having had tons of coaching and Tennis being her sport, she should be getting further than 4th Rounds. You look at some British fans. They seem to love the person who doesn't win. They loved Tiger Tim but Murray gets slated.
For me, Murray deserves huge praise. He stands toe-to-toe in the Mens game with the likes of Federer, Djokovic and Nadal. He deserves huge praise for that. To get to World No. 2 in that company is a huge achievement

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
