Barely seen a positive comment about it. T20 audiences are on the rise and this will be a format nobody else plays anywhere else in the world.

Have come across positive suggestions possibly here possibly on articles but turn the county championship into a tornie that is borderline day night. 1pm till 8pn when days are longest tie it in so fixtures run Thursday to Sunday at the start of the and have end of the season over school holidays so kids can go when off school. Cheap tickets for kids, free for anyone arriving only for the last session. You run 3 fixtures in two weeks and a weekend off to get 2 t20 fixtures over the middle weekend.

You want to get young kids involved in cricket then creating fake 'franchises' with no fan loyalty won't work. So many existing cricket fans have no ties to the existing cities. Yorkshire for example. Let's say the city is Leeds. Will YCCC fans from Bradford Barnsley York Huddersfield, Sheffield etc chirp up to cheer them on? Not likely. What about the rugby league or footy fans who have that inter city rivalry in their psyche? Can't see them getting on board either.

Not sure who they think is going to go for it.

And ultimately, I think it will be disastrous for the country game long term. Can see a big split of counties coming.
