100% agree. It’s as though T20 cricket has influenced shot making decisions of test cricket batsmen although that has nothing to do with the terrible wickets the curators have put out this summer.

But even that decision feels like a complete misread.

The few times I’ve been to a test has normally been day two or three. It would have been inconceivable that the test match could be done before the third day starts.

And here we are with it happening twice in 4 tests.
