When does the IPL start? Watched quite a bit of the Big Bash recently and its been decent. These T20 championships are good fun.

What a cluster**** this is. What away to end a truly disastrous tour.

I wish Michael Vaughan was involved in the set up. He speaks with a clarity and professionalism on the England set up that you do not hear from anyone else. He also captained the team of some pretty big egos (KP-Freddie) to victory against one of the best ever Aussie sides not the mediocre lot that hammered England recently.

And what of Cook, he was the captain after all and seems impervious to criticism. He was awful as a leader and as a player and does not seem to have the spine for what is undoubtedly a tough job. It will be interesting to see how England go with a batting line up without Trott and KP. Powderpuff.

You do have to wonder why there isnt many former captains on the board at the ECB. They all seem to speak about the game well, and have its best interests at heart.

so KP is going to have a best selling book out this Christmas then. No question he will go for the ECB jugular.

I haven't heard yet a single valid reason for his being dropped. I was also reading that Gooch at the same age as KP is now went on to score something like another 12 100's. The amount of runs England are turning there back on is pretty hard to quantify, but one thing that is for sure who ever they play are going to far prefer facing a team without him in it.

What a nonsense. After he slagged off the ECB over KP? No way Warne would do it. Plus he's too busy playing poker and advertising Burgers.

He would also insist on KP coming back into the side.

Gary Kirsten is 14/1. Surely it's him.

                          Don't they always do that?

Tendulkar said he was by miles and miles the best coach he ever worked under.

Kirsten jacked in SA to spend more time with his family now he gets paid more in the 6-8 weeks of IPL than he can on a whole year coaching.

Same with Fleming who is the other one I would have liked.

Both of them would have wanted KP in no doubt so the new coach is either a yes man or already in the set up.

I hope it's Kirsten but the way the clowns at the ECB have been running things you wouldn't blame him for giving us one almighty swerve.
