Cook needs replacing as captain. This tour has been nothing short of a disaster so far and to be honest we didn't look to clever in the summer ashes series either with Bell being our saving grace.

There wasn't much choice really, there weren't any players on the team who stood out as tacticians and leaders.

You also need to remember he was a prodigy, living cricket from an early age and opening bat since he was 18, literally straight from leaving school.

Experience wise he's much older than his years, hence him being groomed by Strauss.

Didnt Cook get a load of centuries when he was made Captain? Back to back in quite a few tests. There was talk of him going down as a great. I think he is in a bit of a rough patch. Happens a lot to openers especially. Tough batting against a new ball

I definitely think he is a negative captain though.

England batting has not totally fired for a while now. Its just that its combined with average bowling now too

Time for bravery. Make them earn every wicket.

**** off cook. He needed to settle in and he does that ****. He's been so poor since being named captain.

I know trott had real issues to deal with but can't help feeling the despair and desperation in the dressing room can only have made it worse and the decision to go home easier.

                  All out under 100?

Why did he go for that ball? As captain and opener he should have settled in and got into the game. Cooks set the tone there. If your captain is poor it doesn't fill you with confidence if your in the team.

Was at the ground yesterday. Dont think you gave your wickets away really. Mitch was just incredible. That spell was unplayable, totally had every Pom quaking in their boots before they'd even got out there

Best part was Broad getting some curry from the crowd on his way out, then faffing about whinging about the screen for 5 minutes thinking he's going to ruin Mitch's momentum. It was just delaying the inevitable. First ball! Bang! **** off!

I thought the Barmy Army sing all day too? Only heard them sing once all day and it was just the lame one they usually do :haha Was looking forward to hearing a few songs and the bugle.

TBF if the situation was reversed the Aussie fans wouldn't turn up at all, we saw that last series over here

Root and Pietersen were total giveaways. Bad balls, even worse shots.

And then Cook today. Dear oh dear. What the **** was that.

Amazed we survived today. Be all done before lunch on day 5.

                                Rain would be a laugh
