    Bairstow gone.

Problems. England still a bit adrift of Aussie total.

Another gift. I don't think our players are very bright.

Going to smash it about here and be all out within 40 or the Aussies

England may have blown the Ashes over the last 2 sessions. 181-1 at one point.

Not that aus haven't played well but terrible decisions have probably decided this series already

I'm calling it. It's gone. A better team anyway. You can talk tactics all you like, but they're just better.

Yeah England have improved a lot, but don’t seem to have the tactical intelligence of the Australians. 2 down and the whitewash is on the cards as Englands tactical approach has been proven to be flawed here - so what do they do? Continue with reckless cricket or try to reinvent themselves mid series - both ways seem high risk.

Play similar but just engage brain. Attack when the time is right. Just clubbing the ball about Twenty Twenty style is not what Test cricket is about. It's high risk and over 5 days your luck has to run out. Our bowlers are too slow and that is going to be the problem. Ultimately first test was tight. If 3 or 4 hadn't given their wickets away for free, we would have finished around the same store as Australia or maybe better. Fine margins, but there is no excuse for being stupid like Brooks was. The captain needs to kick him.

Those dismissals and the dropped head catch were ridiculous. No pressure at all. Can't believe Australia coughed those up in such a dominant position.

Highest ever run chase at Lords is 342. Australia have a 300 lead with 5 wickets to spare. Bat until tea if they can and then go after England?
