He's doing it on purpose. It's working, Wawrinka looks unsettled playing an "injured" player.

The crowd booed him, he's not going to pretend that he's 100% all of a sudden and launch serves in. He'll make a gradual recovery and claim it's the painkillers.

Agreed, if he loses this it'll not be good for him mentally.

Why would he feign injury and get himself 2 set down - likes a bit of drama?
            Are we winning?

He got injured after he lost a set and was a break down in the 2nd.

Must admit that during an inordinately high percentage of Nadal's defeats he has the trainer on. It's as if he's never lost a game when he's fit. Almost every time he loses, which isn't often, he picks up an "injury".

A player who has a serious back injury that prevents him from serving with power certainly can't contort his body to blast those forehands like Nadal is currently doing.

It's BS, he's a cheater and he successfully got Wawrinka off his game.

A back injury is a back injury - a bit of treatment or 'relaxing' doesn't make a back injury go away.

He doesn't like to give up, so uses all the tricks in the book to win. Also, he thrives on adversity. It's up to his adversary to overcome that kind of distraction.

Exactly. And please remind me if there was ever a time Nadal got injured while he was WINNING.

Strange to me that his body breaks down only when he starts to lose, I'd like to understand the science behind this.

It doesn't, but that's what painkillers are for, correct me if I'm wrong?

                              Stan needs a good slap.

Painkillers "effect" should subside by the time this match goes into a 5th set.

                                Let's see.
