I'd been doing the odd kettle bell work out from home using an app for guidance and a cheap 5kg bell. I knew the bell was a little light but having just done a workout with a 12kg bell, what a difference!

I'm using the kettlebell360 app which I'd recommend.

Woohoo, just passed the 100k mark on my rower :woots:

Started running too, and have managed to complete 2 6k runs without slowing to a walking pace even once. **** times at the moment, something like averaging 9m 40s per mile but hey, I am a fat old geezer

      Target is 80kg, currently 86kg. Was 90kg

excellent work - just take it easy or you'll risk injuring yourself. As a general rule, limit any increase in running distance/duration to 10% per week. IF you keep at it, the time per mile will soon start to creep down. When I re-started running last year, my initial "runs" were 10 min/miles and I can now bash out 8 min/miles on a good day.

7'3" or 5'10", I can never remember which

I'm dreadful at running, always have been. It seems I was running too fast, or trying to run to fast. Been going out with a fella whose run sub 3hr 30min marathons, he's been really understanding though. I'm going out on my own later to use my Adidas pacer for the first time. Not sure I'll have the motivation to complete the 2nd circuit without him next to me. I'll report back later

I am just a tad taller and also trying to trim down to 80kgs. Right now I am about 85kgs. I go to the gym a few times a week, watch what I eat and play football twice a week. Seems to be doing the trick.

I use an abs workout app which is quite good, really effective if you keep at it!!

I gym 5 sessions per week. Purely cardio and sit ups one day. Involves 40 mins of cardio and 20 mins of stomach work. The other days are weights. For how much I train, I should probably be in better shape though. Some guys do a lot less and are built as anything.

Those young lads will be taking the piss reading this, little do they know it catches up on them

My typical weekly activity, other than doing between 10-15hrs of manual work is; Approx 4hrs of dog walking, 1hr badminton, 9k on the rower and about 10miles on the bike. I don't want to change my eating habits, or rather watch what I eat, though. I'm not a pig and have porridge for brekky every day for my cholesterol. We only have 1 takeaway a week too.

A race to 80kg sounds in order

My step-daughter's back for Easter from Uni and she's been exercise crazy. Seems there's a boy in Uni who has told her he'll buy her a gift if she loses weight She's been spending a fair amount of time in and around the Shisha bars in Egware Road, and is going to spend the whole summer in Benghazi with some lads we know. I hope her dad doesn't find out

Haha, you are killing me with what you do. I think there will only be one winner in this race.

Edgware Road - now that is a place I am avoiding unless I really want to pile the weight on!

I used to do a similar routine at the gym. 40 mins on the Technogym StepXT and then 10mins of rowing. I was skinny but never had a nice physique. As soon as I stopped going to the gym I put the weight back on. It's been pointed out to me since that the weights and **** is important for muscle mass. Without increasing that then the cardio is purely for fitness. Seems obvious now thinking back

Lotta hard work that ffs, probably is to do with diet or something? I hate the gym, never liked it, prefer running or the bike and I used to do some weights at home..
