Creatine is OK, have tried that in the past, but aye I dont even take protein- just eat a lot!

NO Explode & stuff like that change your heartrate, but even coffee does that. Cant say Ive tried more than one sample there either.

Just take omega 3 & glucosamine sulphate. Got some CLAs & BCAAs- should mebbe try them at some point instead of leaving them to sit in my cupboard!

I do the protein shakes and bars. I have never tried the creatine though as I think there was a few bad reports about it years ago. I think Wenger stopped his players having it. Might be mistaken

NO Explode etc definitely changes your heart rate and that's the concerning thing for me. I've overhead a few guys at the gym, then read the papers as to how this stuff and the fat burners can mess your heart up. I've just gone to eating about 4-5 times per day.

My brother has the BCAA's. He's tried them but he isn't a regular trainer though so I'm not sure it's going to do a whole load of difference for him

I started taking creating recently, ironically not long after El Matt’s posts.

I have noticed a slight improvement, although I think a lot of it was a placebo effect. Someone on here mentioned that they did a lot of research on it and confirmed it’s extremely safe and effective and having spent a bored day in here reading all about it, it appears he was 100% right.

Just wish I’d taken a before and after shot of my knob.

I used a pot of these

Apart from making you sweat for hours after exercise, I didn't notice any other beneficial effects. Just have a double espresso instead before a run.

Think I've knackered my lovely right foot. Just been to the gym, was on the treadmill and felt a twinge of pain but carried on, it didn't get worse by any means. Once I got in the changing room and took off my trainer, the pain across the top of my foot, on the side of my little toe, about halfway up was pretty bad. Really sharp pain with the merest of touches. Reckon I've fractured it? Have ice on it at home right now. Great start to my birthday weekend.

So it's the middle of May time for an update on how we are all getting on with the exercise and weight loss?

I tipped the scales at just under 14st this morning down from 15st 3 in January

Started to buy liquid egg whites now. Used to eat a fair amount of eggs (incl the Yolk) as part of the training. I'm hoping this will aid in the slimming down process

Down to 16st 8lbs from 19st 4lbs in January. Totally lost focus with losing the weight over the last month and begun to slip into old routines.

Back on it this week though, and heading for my aim of being 15st by the end of July.

I was going great guns up until April. Totally focused on it, but I fell out of the routine.

Cycling again now though, so that'll give me added impetus to get losing some.

You still throwing the kettlebells about?

I stopped, I injured my shoulder playing football and just fell out of the routine. Going to start again after Sundays ride. My core strength was getting better. They work really well when done properly.

Its threads like this that kept me motivated before. I found writing things down almost shamed me into doing them

A mixture of the cycling and the kettlebells should see you right.

You jacked in the early morning gym sessions now then?

My foot is still ****ed and I havent been to the gym since Saturday, thanks for the concern.

Seriously, its fine then all of a sudden I can't apply any pressure without it hurting like ****. Normally if I've been on it for an hour or so without sitting down. Just across the top of my foot. I've bought some cushioned trainers now as I don't think my Y3 adidas ones gave anything but comfort and style.

Yeah, it was killing me. I was getting up at 4 am, to go to the gym, then get to work in London. **** that.

Totally off the wagon, its shameful
