Didn't go for delicious Mexican food Lee?

I love Mexican food, apart from the sour cream.
    Oh I don't know.

Healthy eating and exercise is the key. It's taken me years of stupid dieting to realise this and really, it's not rocket science is it?

I was tempted to as all the food looked amazing. Difficult to beat a good steak though.

        And sour cream rocks man.

2500 calories for a desk worker is too much and will probably lead to putting on weight. Unless you're 6'2" or taller

If you're active, it's fine. If you're sat down all day like me, you'll put the weight back on like I did before.

Scrap all crap foods, replace with fruit, vegetables, wholegrain foods and lean meats. Smaller portions but you don't have to be entirely restrictive as long as you're sensible. Done.

I have just had 2 x cheese on think white toast sprinkled with worcester and tabasco sauces.

              Yum.

I got caught out a couple of years ago when I started doing a more physical job. I was working 8hr days but spending 3hrs in the van on my arse which equates to a desk job really

My sister has just had gastric bypass surgery on the NHS. She became diabetic ten years ago and the insulin was starting to be non-effective. Now she's on a liquid diet for basically the rest of her life. Since the op she's been told to rest for a month. Daft thing is that my parents are always saying 'you know Val, she can't sit still. She's always active' etc. Sorry but you don't get fat by genetics. It's all about consuming more than you burn and not getting that balance right. I always quote the concentration camps of the second world war. There was nobody who didn't become emaciated. The old 'I don't know why I'm fat, I hardly eat anything' is a lie to yourself and others.

She's now being heavily restricted in what she can eat and the weight is dropping off. Job done

This is a good, simple home workout that doesn't take long:

Only if you are doing absolutely zero exercise. It is ok for the most of the population. The problem is a lot of people exceed this by some distance.

Let me guess, I'm abnormal too?

I have to drink loads of booze and eat loads of crap just maintain it, otherwise I would disappear.

I'm 172cm. Not sure what that is in feets.

A year or so ago I went through a phase of trying to put weight on. I wasn't doing this by just eating crap and drink loads of booze, but I found a website which I could track my calories, and found suggestions of the right foods to eat to put on weight.

However, I'm sure I recall reaching 2500 kalories a day being some ****ing task. I was literally eating food non stop all day Maybe I misremember but I'm sure that was the case. Gave up in the end as it was just too expensive to keep buying so much food

I was joking about the booze and crap food.

I think my diet is reasonably healthy. My wife is vegetarian, so I don't tend to eat much meat at home. I'll have it in my sarnies of course, and breakfast (salami or cured ham at work, grilled bacon sarnie at the weekend).

Overall, I do drink more than is strictly healthy though.
