I find the SIS Go gels ok. I had a Provit one once and got cramps within half a mile. The only thing about the SIS gels is they leave me feeling very disconnected and spaced out afterwards and it's vital not to run out before finishing. But then that's probably true for gels in general.

And I don't find the taste too bad either.

    They affect everyone differently though.

I keep meaning to try For Goodness Shakes but memory is a terrible, um, er...Nice weather today.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I find the food tastes a lot better when I remember why I'm eating the same meals day after day.
TBH, I’ve never been a massive fan of food. I wouldn’t have many dishes that I would look forward to eating and take no great pleasure in eating out. When I used to drink too much, eating was basically a chore and I more or less got by on soup.

I’m quite a plain, boring eater as it is, so I won’t be missing much at all. I’m just concerned that as I don’t eat a wide variety of foods, if I was sick of the ones I do like it wouldn’t leave me with much else to eat. I eat eggs and chicken practically every day as it is, so they constitute for about 75% of my food intake and couldn’t be sacrificed.

So much of it is in the mind.

Obviously I'm not claiming it applies to impact damage, just fatigue.
I watched a programme on Houdini once, and he said also said that pain is all in the mind and if you learn to block that out you don’t feel a things. I keep meaning to put into practice.

I did walk to work one day without my coat and it was freezing. I started shivering as you do, feeling sorry for myself and then I remembered Houdini’s wise words. So, for the rest of the journey I pretended I wasn’t cold.

You could try finding a few things you can eat as little treats. For instance I started putting a few grapes in salads - little spikes of fructose in every few mouthfuls of greens makes a difference.

Ha, yeah, I do that. It really works for short periods.

Top tip: It's a mistake to try it though if you're out in freezing conditions for a long time - you might think you're being hard as nails but you'll end up with hypothermia.

Made out my menu, starting tomorrow. Not as expensive as I thought either.

Over 60 eggs in 2 weeks, can't see me looking at the things for months after this.

Originally included a lot of tomatoes, but then found out they are relatively high in carbs.

                Sexy body, here I come!

Ha ha, If I had it typed I would, but just wrote it out on the back of a cereal box as I was in a friends house.

If it's successful then I might type it out so I can do it again some time.

I want to get a bit fitter, but no way am I doing it in public. No way.
