Of course consuming less calories than you expend makes you lose weight, that's the whole point, the trick is to find away to do it in a sustainable way that you can keep doing unlike calories controlled diets every day - which is what this gives you.

I've seen it work, mate of mine has lost 2 stone and his dangerously high blood pressure has dropped significantly. I've given it a go and lost 1/2 a stone so far without increasing the amount of exercise I do or dieting in any way the other 5 days of the week.

Write it off if you want, it's your loss.
I wasn't questioning the idea of fasting as a viable weight loss suggestion, just what you wrote. Which is mostly incorrect

I think it's important to note that eating fast food for 5 days and starving for 2 days will not get you a result. This and every diet is based on common sense.

It's also quite dangerous. I dare say that if you're an office dweller who doesn't have a work out plan, this could work just fine. There are plenty who work long hours at the office and have no time for the gym.

Me personally, I make time for the gym and my job is as such that I can't go starving myself for a couple of days a week. Besides as such, my goal isn't to lose weight, I want to build muscle - again, that is something the fasting diet doesn't do.

On a side note, I got my body fat measure today, the result was 16.84%. Not bad to say I was a fatty not so long a go. And I don't count calories, I don't starve myself and the other day I was eating buffet style food and getting pissed on lager.

I just eat and drink everything in moderation. I tend to eat a normal breakfast, ultra healthy meals at work, normal type food for dinner and a decent snack later on.

For me, this fits my lifestyle and gives me great results. It's also sustainable over my lifetime.

My body fat came in at 14.2 yesterday, which should have been lower, but considering I've been slacking recently isn't too bad.

Everything else as expected, cholesterol too high and my upper body strength (measured by grip) barely registering on the lowest scale due to my puny wrists.

                Nice one mate

I've never had a six pack so considering aiming for close to 8% by September when I go on holiday. Going to Wales next week and taking a week of the weights, but when I get back, might have to go all guns blazing

If you enjoy it mate you'll have no bother. The only exercise I find tough is when I don't really want to do it!

Well my back continues to heal well, so I'm able to hit some half decent weights on the lower body again. Still a fair bit off what I was doing pre-injury but signs are looking more favourable that I might get back there one day. Gonna be a big psycological thing when I try dead proper heavy again. Last thing I wanna do is **** my disc up & be out of full action for another year again.

for all those of you who arent super fit freaks, i've just done the bristol 10k in a respectable 49 minutes with 2 or 3 runs per week of 3-4 miles, cycling to work (a mere 1.5 miles uphill going home and a glide into work). my body fat aint anything like some of the super models on here (24 ish at last count) but i'm fitter than ive ever been and am happy with where I am.

Everything in moderation with the odd blow out works for me and doesnt make me stress out about what I am or am not doing.

All very impressive this running malarkey (particularly in Brissle with it being so hilly). My limit is about 5K & I even hate that. I love sprinting tho.

Does anyone use these fat burners? Dead against it from the beginning, but I've seen Reflex selling something called ThermoFusion which they claim has a lot of natural stuff in it

I probably won't take them. Always been a bit wary of stuff like that that boosts your energy prior to workouts. Don't they mess with heart rate and stuff?

I don't even take creatine, but some say that is okay?
