To be fair is is tough to run in crisply ironed denim.

You up for this in Feb. Save face?

Next run chalked in for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow's the 1st innit? I'm on it like a tramp on a half-eaten sandwich.

I'm planning a bonus little 5k over the weekend to test my fitness. I'll be aiming to sneak past the 100km mark for Feb I think. I did just under 100km in Jan so that should be achievable.

              100km.

              That is some distance.

              Nutter.

Has Rowan done 99km in that time?

Ive no idea what mine is then. Let's just keep me where I am.

He's a machine. Oh and I'm using my own version of the Duckworth-Lewis method to recalculate your distance:

                    Rowan: 99.8 km
                    Pablo: 42.2 Km
                    Norbs: 28.71 Km
                    Rich: 26.7 Km
                    Alex 23.16 Km
                    Dan: 23.15km
                    RoadEnd: 21.3 Km
                    Lee: 16.3 Km
                    Cresser1: 16.1 Km
                    Slinky Skills: 3.8 Km

Yup. We'll add 7 miles. 173.3 km for jan according to my garmin. I blame the slack first 2 weeks of the year and 2 days a week of snowboarding as it's normally closer to 250-280
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

So you normally do about 60-70km a week then? How many runs is that split into? Do you give yourself enough rest days? How do you find the spare time? I'd love to find the time to run more and further, but it's tough. 280km a month is ridiculous.

Nah. It's 40 miles a week mate. Whack in 12-14 on Sunday and your talking 7 miles 4 times a week. I run with a club Tuesdays and Thursdays and tend to take Mondays off for snow sports. My job is ridiculously stressful and pretty constant so if I don't run I tend to either spend the night going over the day or just take masses of stuff home so I really need it to get out the house. Really it my main opportunity to clear my mind and as I'm under an hour for 8 miles it's not a huge chunk of my time gone.

Probably too much detail there but I'd be stressed to bits without the release hence the high mileage.

                              Well between 7:20 - 7:40

Got my 10k race pace down to 6:27 and my last half averages (GNR) was 6:46. Again, I'd say the difference is down to running with a club. Since I started I've lopped 12 minutes off my half PB.
